For my Son Until He Comes Home

Thank you for your service to love ones, family and friends of the gaurdians of our way of life. My son is a career soldier (Army officer) and served his first tour in Iraq with the invasion force during Iraqi Freedom. During that time, his mother and I wore bracelets for him until his return. Once I put mine on, I never removed it for any reason until he was safely at home again. As the commanding officer of an ordinance unit, he is currently preparing them to deploy back to Iraq late in the year. It will be his second tour and I will once again honor him by wearing his name on your bracelet until he comes home.

For Richard A. Kibbey

I did not know Richard A. Kibbey, but I did know his brother Roger. I remember when I first heard that one of the Kibbey's from Delmar was MIA.  At first I thought it was Roger who was missing, but then learned it was his brother.  I felt so sorry, thinking how sad he and his entire family must be and have kept them in my thoughts and prayers these many years.

For PO2 Brian K. Joplin

I ordered a Memorial Bracelet in the name of PO2 Brian K. Joplin.  I never knew Brian.  His name was selected semi-randomly.  I knew I wanted someone who had been in the Navy and was from Oklahoma.  I noticed that the date he died was the same date as my son's birthday (October 4).  Imagine my surprise when I checked and saw his first name was Brian, which is also my son's name.  It is my great honor to wear this bracelet in his memory.  I will tell anyone and everyone about Brian and how he died in Afghanistan and let them know how they, too, can show their support.  Thanks for the opportunity.

For Two Veterans, Me and My Dad

The bracelet is great. I had one years ago that I bought on base in Colorado and it finally got worn out and broke. I have been trying to replace it for awhile now but just never thought of the Internet as an option, finally one day it dawned on me and I found your site.

I Googled POW bracelets and found your site listed there. I went through many of the available links and decided that your site was the option for me, with your own donations to various support organizations and with the ability to choose who and what gets put on the bracelet, all that and the price is great.

I ordered a Memorial Bracelet because I myself am a veteran and my father is a Vietnam veteran. I have been out of the military for about four years now but have never lost the drive to support  our troops and all those who came before, the fact that we still have POW and MIA's in so many countries is something that the general public either has no idea about or fails to acknowledge. If my bracelet gets the attention of one person and I have the opportunity to tell them about our troops and the services they give happily without any gripes or complaints then I feel like I have continued my support.

For a MIA Soldier in Iraqi Freedom

I ordered a MIA bracelet for a soldier in Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Why?  My husband, Matt, is active duty Army and was in one of the first Army units on the ground in Operation Iraqi Freedom.  My husband is a Combat Medic and was one of the very people that saved soldiers' lives during the first year of Iraqi Freedom.  He has been back twice since then.  I am extremely proud of my husband and what he has done for our family, community and country.  I also am proud of all of the soldiers from all the forces who have sacrificed so much for all of us in this country!  Fortunately, my husband has came home safe and sound each time.  I am thank God daily for that.  I cannot imagine what the family of the missing soldiers must be going through and if I can keep this soldier and his family close to my heart and think about and pray for him daily by wearing this bracelet, then that is the least I can do to honor a solider!

To Keep a High School Friend in My Thoughts

My bracelet arrived today and it is exceptional. I am wearing it to keep a high school friend in my thoughts. I had written you earlier to explain that I was replacing the one that I wore to keep Matt Maupin in my thoughts. Since his remains have been identified and he is returning home I have replaced his bracelet with my friend's. I believe that I had attached a photo of myself and two other friends that do the Run for the Wall motorcycle ride from LA to DC each May. The bracelet that you sent me is of much higher quality and workmanship than the ones that I have purchased on the Mall in DC. I will wear it proudly. I have given your web-site to a number of my friends (of the Viet Nam era) and suggested that it is a way to remember friends and relatives that are forever locked in the Wall. I will wear mine proudly.

For SFC Jared C. Monti

I ordered a Memorial Bracelet from you a few months ago. The individual that I request and received was Jared C. Monti.  I knew SFC Monti when he was just a SGT and I was just a SPC.  I attribute my success and current position to his attitude towards the job and the ESPRIT DE CORPS he had for those around him. There aren't words that are capable of  doing him justice in describing this top notched NCO. Those that knew him will truly miss him and those that were on the receiving end of his profession never seen it coming. I would like to thank you for providing motivation to me during these troubled times and a daily reminder of why we do what we do.

For Paul Charvet Who Was Killed in Vietnam

I grew up very close to Williams Air Force base Mesa AZ.  It's now William's Gateway.  I went out and got a bracelet in 1972.  Over the years it was lost.  I was praying for our soldiers recently and remembered that bracelet.  I wanted to remember a young man that went far away from home and died for his country.  Paul Charvet was born in 1940 in Grandview, Washington.  I wanted him to know that I pray for him and remember every soldier that has ever gone out for me and their fellow soldiers.  Lt. Charvet's Mom is still alive.  I wrote to the local librarian and she passed along a note that I remembered his anniversary - 21 March 1967 NVN MIA.  She should know that people are grateful and care.

For our Son who Lost His son

This bracelet is for our son.  Glenn Sweet who lost his son, Jack on Feb. 8- 2008 to a roadside bomb in Iraq.  Jack was named after me, his grandfather, Jack Sweet. He was only 19.  He never had a chance in life.  His recruiter said that he never had anyone try harder to get into the service. He had been a member of the young Marines before going into the Army. He did have the chance to go to his graduation at Fort Benning, from there he was sent to Fort Drum, which is only 25 miles from our/his home in upstate New York. Jack was the first person killed in combat from our village since WW2. Fort Drum is naming a new bldg. on post after Jack. It is in the works to name a section on route 12 in his honor.

Because Byron Fouty and I are the Same Age

I choose PVT BYRON W. FOUTY MI ARMY who is MIA in Operation Iraqi Freedom because he is my age. I am 19 years old and so is he. I support all of our fighting men and women and I know the sacrifice that they pay. My grandpa is  Korean War vet and I have family and friends who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.  We have been fortunate enough not to lose any loved ones in war. The bracelet will remind me to pray for Pvt Fouty and his family every day and I hope that he is alive and is found and able to return home to his family. The bracelet is an outward expression of my appreciation to Pvt Fouty and all the troops that have served in the U.S military. All of the troops current and veterans are in my prayers. God Bless you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

For Those who Paved the Way for the Current Military

I have been in the USAF for 20 yrs now and am about to retire. These that have gone before us paved the way for our military today. I have always be patriotic and if this little extra money can help some other prior or current military family then that is reason enough for me to donate. For my Good friend SSgt Walrod "The Doc"

I wear this Memorial Bracelet for SSgt Walrod "The Doc" he was a good friend of mine.  He was the IDMT while I was deployed on a humanitarian mission in Central America.  SSgt Walrod treated me personally.  I was stung by a scorpion (about 1 1/2 inches long) and spent 2 days in the hospital.  When it initially happened he was there and took care of me and rushed me to the hospital before the reaction to the sting closed off my airway.  I got to the hospital and received the anti venom and everything was fine.  It was just hard to breath for a while and hurt a little.  SSgt Walrod was killed while off base providing medical care.  He was struck head on by a oncoming semi.  I posted the link about him at the bottom if you would like to know more.  Thanks again for everything.
