Today is the 49th anniversary of the plane being shot down, and I was looking for something when I came across this post. Captain West was never found and was eventually declared KIA. His sister biked across Canada this summer on a mission of peace in honor of her brother. Here is a link to her video. http://bit.ly/PeaceBikeRideGWRCanadaSunnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10079187635351306773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17926977.post-28122349013683399722018-10-20T23:11:37.022-04:002018-10-20T23:11:37.022-04:00I also have a bracelet for Spec 5 Richard Garcia 3...I also have a bracelet for Spec 5 Richard Garcia 3-71 Always hoping to find more information.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06287000073296291533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17926977.post-31955683684984215632018-08-26T22:01:14.595-04:002018-08-26T22:01:14.595-04:00I also wore a bracelet with Gilland Corbitt’s Name...I also wore a bracelet with Gilland Corbitt’s Name on it for many years. I did not have any luck looking for him. Interesting to be reading these comments. It caught my ear as I am watching Air Aces about the pilots fighting in WWII and they mentioned one of the crew was Sandy Sanderlin, I immediately went to the computer and found these postings. Sounds like he was supported by many which is good. The more prayers the better. Those in the know please feel free to put this into the next post.

The bracelet that I have to SSG John B Ogburn III has been 11 years in coming, simply because it took me this long to gather up the courage to order it. I was the rear detatchment commander at the time he was killed, and I drove 16 hours round trip, and nearly non-stop, to come back to my duty station to be there. I was on the funeral detail and honor guard for him. I was unable to go back to where he was buried for 10 years it hurt so badly....until my buddy made me go and said "its time we do this" that I finally went back. I ordered my bracelet a little later on, and all of the member of our company are planning on visiting him and having a sip with him every Veteran's day from now on. I wouldn't have had the courage to do this had it not been for buddies telling me its time to do so....Giffordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05491047565463545735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17926977.post-24476121106457153862016-12-04T22:47:16.166-05:002016-12-04T22:47:16.166-05:00Hello Megan,

I knew exactly where mine was resting. I wore it when i was in high school back in the early 70's. I, too, was very surprised to see when i google his name today how many others wore his name. I, too, wanted to find out if he ever came home and this is the first link that i opened... I guess if anyone had learned anything of S/Sgt. David Demmon it would be known in this thread. It was heartwarming to see how many people wore his bracelet and wished for him to come home.
Dawn Ferratusco SampsonDawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10316792070143187930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17926977.post-76372316205626948762016-09-17T23:45:04.604-04:002016-09-17T23:45:04.604-04:00I still have his bracelet too.
