In the 1970's, we wore Prisoner of War (P.O.W.) bracelets. Today, we also keep others in our memories; Victims of Terrorism and Military Casualties. To keep the memory alive of those who have died at the hands of terrorists or fighting terrorism, we now also wear Memorial Bracelets. The story behind that is that they lost their best friend in a black-hawk crash up in NY about a year ago and they wanted something that they could remember him by everyday. I have a POW bracelet and I love it and I decided that I would make them one of his name and his unit. They loved them!
